One Massive Conversion

Fr. Brennan heard confessions for two hours, including first-time pilgrim, John from Philadelphia, who gloriously returned to the Church after a mere absence of 61 years! He explained that the last time he went to Confession or Sunday Mass was in 1965 when he was 15 years old.

Put in perspective, Vatican II was still in session, LBJ was the U.S. President, Beatlemania was in full force and James Donohue LOSM, who just celebrated his 88th birthday on October 12th, was only 27 years old.

The Champion

Amazing miraculous photo taken at the Sept. 28, 1981 Vigil, Eve of the Feast of St. Michael the Archangel by Bernie Beyer of Great Neck, N.Y. The form of St. Michael in combat stance dominates the left hand side of the photo (interpretation by Veronica of the Cross).

10 Masses Offered for Friends

Fr. Brennan offered five Masses for all friends and benefactors of St Michael's World Apostolate during the weekend. Two weeks earlier, Fr. Fred from Nigeria, who was in the U.S. for a month and a priest-pilgrim at the Shrine for three prayer services, offered five Masses for the same intention.

Historic

For the first time in 57 years, the Rosary Vigil on October 12th was held in honor of St. Teresa of Avila, who appeared at Bayside on March 18, 1973.

"The greatest sorrow in Heaven is that Michael has been removed from the Houses of God."
