TWO DEAR AND GENEROUS FRIENDS of the Shrine are collaborating in this timely offer to help pay for two major expenses incurred at Our Lady’s Workshop. |
First, the commercial painting of the 5,000 square-foot workshop at $17,000, and second, the excavation and replacement of the ruptured water main at $12,000 (see photos below). |
You may have heard that during this past brutal winter our water main burst and flooded the basement/pressroom for 9.5 hours with thousands of gallons of water before the FDNY could stop the deluge. We finally got it under control in the early morning hours of February 11. |
It looks like the waters did come up—in Our Lady’s Workshop! Does Heaven have a sense of humor, or what? It all began on the eve of Our Lady of Lourdes! |
