SMWA devotees remembered by the Carmelites |
MICHAEL MANGAN and John Benevides LOSM visited the impressive Carmelite community in Fairfield, Penn.
On All Souls’ Day, besides attending the three Masses offered for the Poor Souls, they remembered all the deceased of SMWA with a few candles, numbered among the hundreds that were illuminating the chapel and gifted by the faithful in memorial (see above).
Mr. Mangan’s niece/godchild is the Mother Superior. He had a beautiful and inspiring visit with the good Mother and the concluding expression was mutual: we are remembering the Carmelites good work in our community and public prayer, and Mother assured us of their support with prayers and sacrifices.
There’s nothing better than being remembered by a traditional and courageous Carmelite cloister.
|
MR. MANGAN'S twin sister, Mary Bauer, the caretaker and staunch long-time SMWA devotee, is buried on the grounds. Mr. Benevides (l.) and Mr. Mangan prayed to Mary on her 7th Anniversary (November 6) and asked for her ongoing intercession for the noble cause of Holy Mother Church: the Carmelites and the SMWA Mission. |
"There are so many poor souls now that are languishing in purgatory. Some will be there till the end of time." |
