Life being trashed This photo was taken on June 9, 2025, the same day that the New York State Senate passed the physician-assisted suicide bill. Remarkably, on the left of the statue, appears a large trash bin outlined. (Indeed, it looks like a close replica of the one we recently purchased to comply with new NYC regulations.)
When it comes to the culture of death, there's no sugarcoating from Our Lady of the Roses: "O My child, My tears fall upon you all when I see all of the innocent little babies being slaughtered, cast into garbage pails like nothing but dirt and scum." (March 18, 1983) Our Lady adds: "In the name of mercy—death, murder." (June 13, 1981)
Now all we need is a miracle: that Governor Hochul does not sign this bill into law. John Benevides LOSM took this photo at the Pentecost (Monday) Vigil with the euthanasia bill in mind.
