Our Lady's Worker

of Flushing, N.Y. was called to her eternal rest Monday morning at 5 a.m. The cause of death was COVID-19. We extend our condolences and prayers to Esther's three daughters and loved ones, and all her friends, especially at St Michael's World Apostolate and Our Lady of the Roses Shrine. Although Esther was not at the workshop since last year, she was a regular contributor for many years. She was artistically-inclined and would decorate the workshop for Christmas, Easter, New York Meetings, Live Broadcasts and the May Crowning Luncheon. In fact, she would create her own impressive floral displays from construction paper that added a nice and attractive personal touch. She was fantastic with the organizing and labeling of the Pink Books, often working long hours. And you could always count on her to bring some home-baked treats and goodies for the Lay Order of St. Michael and other volunteers. Interestingly, Esther shared two things in common with President Michael Mangan: a birthday and a twin. Sadly, Esther's twin brother was a runaway as a young teen never to be seen or heard from again. It was said he landed in Texas and led a normal life, but it was never confirmed. We are sure that Esther has now reached a peaceful resolution to what was a painful ordeal. Esther was recently on the holy grounds for the March 7th Sunday Holy Hour for Pope and clergy. We know that she will be another Heavenly Helper for Our Lady's Mission here below and, of course, will always remember her family and friends. Please include her in your Rosaries and prayers. |
