Blessed Christmas
& Happy New Year
from St Michael's World Apostolate
December 5 Sunday Holy Hour for Priests |
Dear
friend of Our Lady,
A
very merry and blessed Christmas to you and to all of your loved ones. May
the simplicity and splendor of the Infant Jesus radiate in your lives,
especially throughout this joyous feast.
With
our new Heaven Speaks Today on The Nativity, you have set before you
excellent spiritual food for the season. May our Christmas prayer be that
we may always strive to imitate the love and tenderness of the Blessed
Mother and the generosity and zeal of the wise men.
Indeed,
during this Advent and Christmas, it is a wonderful opportunity to express
our deep thanks to Jesus for making another unique visit upon earth. Yes,
2000 years later, Our Savior and His Mother have deigned to visit Bayside,
New York, to announce to a troubled world glad tidings of hope and peace.

December
5 Sunday Holy Hour |
How
beautiful and profound, instructive and enriching are these messages of
Jesus and Mary. These words alone could only emanate from the celestial
court far beyond the farthest star (June
8, 1974).
But,
of course, I don’t have to tell you that. You already know the deep
impact that this message has had in your life. That’s why you are so
devoted and have persevered so bravely in this challenging Mission, which
sadly and tragically, to our great peril as a nation and a world, has been
rejected if not laughed at by many.
But
like St. Peter, we say: “Lord, to whom shall we go?” (St.
John 6:69)
Six
years ago in a solemn discourse directed by Our Lady, our dear seer,
Veronica of the Cross, asked me to promise to continue this Mission after
her passing. (She died August 3, 1995.) I promised Our Lady and Veronica
two times and I firmly believe I spoke for you, too, and for all future
devotees.
And
so we must continue to forge ahead with great faith. We must never permit
this Mission to fade or to be forgotten. Or worse, to be silenced or to
die. Our enemies, especially the infernal ones, have sought this from the
beginning. There are too many precious souls at stake to tolerate nothing
less than full speed ahead with this soul-saving Mission.
We,
as the lay order of St. Michael (as designated by Our Lady) are working
hard to honor our special and privileged calling as disciples of the
latter days (October 2,
1989). As you can see from
our mailings, the work and prayer are going strong.
The
Rosary Vigils and Sunday Holy Hours for priests, of course, continue on
the sacred grounds. (Can you imagine for a moment the consequences for the
world and the Church without all of these prayers ascending to Heaven,
balancing the scales? Our Lady answered this when She said there would be
a severe chastisement for New York City (April
14, 1973) and the great
Chastisement would be hastened (September
7, 1974).

Sunday Holy Hour. The Rosary that is regularly venerated by
the pilgrims was kissed by the Blessed Mother at the October 29,
1994 vigil. |
In
addition, our eight-member community incorporates a strong spiritual life
that includes daily: Mass, 15-decade Rosary, and Bible reading. And
weekly: confession, miraculous medal novena and exposition of the Blessed
Sacrament. And regularly: holy hours in Church with exposition, and
prayerful protests (recently the Brooklyn Museum and Dogma movie).
Monday
through Saturday we work in our new office (see
Golden Warrior,
No 2) and print shop. As
you can see, our presses and heavy machinery are in full operation. As you
recall, these were all miraculously reclaimed at the June 18, 1998
auction.
Truly,
this is a vital apostolate we do, through the grace of Our Lady of the
Roses, Mary Help of Mothers, for the Church and the world.
However,
the costs are extraordinary for all the work we have been appointed to do.
A global apostolate of our size costs thousands and thousands of dollars a
month. This mailing alone cost us over $10,000.
And
so we appeal to you now in this season of giving to be as generous as your
means permit. Because, believe me, we are operating now on a wing (I
think, St. Michael’s) and a prayer.
We
have great faith that Our Lord will provide for this Mission because He
said He would (June 30,
1984). (Of course, it doesn’t
mean that the Good Lord won’t take us to the edge. It’s seems He
allows this at times. It’s called character-building or being “tested
as metals in the fire” (June
13, 1981). Besides, Jesus
never said He was going to hand it to us. We have to do our part, too, and
earn it.)
Jesus
said what He said because He knows the kind and generous hearts of the
faithful. And so whether it is a widow’s mite or $20 or a $1000, we
desperately need it now. We need to ensure that Our Lady’s Shrine and St
Michael’s World Apostolate is stable and secure as we enter the 3rd
millennium.

"The
greatest test of heart is how much you shall give, not how much
you will receive. It is only in giving that you shall truly
receive the light.”

1973 |
