A Carmelite bride
Sometimes I wish that Our Lord had
placed my destiny in His wonderful convents on earth, especially
the Carmelite order! Oh, to be away from the distractions of this
world, to devote each moment, every thought to the glorification
of Our Lord!
Though some from outside may not understand the emotional
fulfillment of giving the soul to God, to be able to live in a
community devoted to living for Christ and saving all our earthly
friends from purgatory or hell by our prayers, one must know
through extensive grace the feeling that prompts a young girl to
leave the outside world. This feeling is love, a love of God so
strong that the things of the world no longer are “what I want.”
For Our Lord is not of this world, so if we really love Him we
will want to be of His world.
