Our Lady's
43rd Anniversary
Rosary Vigil

Saturday, June 15, 2013
Our Lady of the Roses,
Mary Help of Mothers Shrine
7:30 - 10:30 p.m.

About 400 pilgrims, many first-timers, attended the Anniversary Vigil.

"These are not ordinary times. These are not ordinary days. No, if you read the words left by the prophets, you will understand. The Book of life is there for you. It is all there if you will take the time to read it. All must come to pass, and then the Ball of Redemption will be upon you."

Our Lady, June 17, 1971

Michael Mangan, SMWA President, greeting the pilgrims that came from across the globe. Here is his opening statement:

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Good evening and welcome to Our Lady of the Roses Shrine.

My name is Michael Mangan, the President of St Michael’s World Apostolate and on behalf of all the workers/guards of St Michael's World Apostolate and the Lay Order of St. Michael, I want to wish every one a very joyous and grace-filled 43rd Anniversary of Our Lady’s appearances here at Bayside under the powerful title of Our Lady of the Roses, Mary Help of Mothers.

We have pilgrims here tonight from the Philippines, Europe, Central and South America, Canada, the four corners of America, and of course, the illustrious borough of Queens, N.Y. And we extend a special welcome to all of our clergy and religious.

We want to thank all of you for your prayers and sacrifice and your recognition for the urgent need and effectiveness of public prayer and reparation to the Eternal Father as the world and Church plunges into deeper darkness.

We are suffering at this time through unprecedented attacks on our religious freedom and constitutional rights --

(I’ll be enlarging on this at the Banquet:

     - the IRS persecution and punishment of some conservative groups including yours truly, SMWA,

     - revelation of Gov’t snooping on phone calls and emails of millions of Americans

     - in the aftermath of the Boston bombing terror attack, the banning of priests from ministering to the injured and dying)

-- that is rapidly leading to the full reign of anti-christ or as Our Lady prophesied 35 years ago: “a one-world religion and a one-world government under a supreme dictator of evil.” (March, 18, 1978) Even as we face this sinister plot isn’t it encouraging to know that we have a safe haven to go to anytime, this sacred spot here in Flushing Meadows Corona Park that Our Lady and Lord have promised to be here, for you, until the Second Coming of Jesus.

Indeed, the hope always remains that if we listen to Their voice and act upon it, we can hold off the relentless assault of anti-christ that is poised to take over.

Also, for 43 years we have held a Holy Hour for priests every Sunday outdoors at 10:30 a.m. We invite you to join us any Sunday morning in this much-needed and charitable sacrifice that Our Lady said would be rewarded in the next life.

In the meantime, May all your heart-felt petitions be answered by Our Lady of the Roses, Mary Help of Mothers. And I remind you of the powerful and hopeful words of Our Lady on June 16, 1974: “Pray much, My children, for if you return to Us but one straying soul and snatch this soul from satan there will be great joy in Heaven forever. And your reward will far surpass anything that you can deem in your imagination!” Please join us here again soon and let’s make this a regular occurrence where Jesus said in 1991: “We have made our Home upon these grounds.”

To hear this statement and the entire Vigil, including opening prayers, the Rosaries, a welcome address from SMWA President Michael Mangan, a brief audio segment from the Aug. 14, 1979 Message from Jesus and Mary through Veronica of the Cross, the blessing from Jesus and Mary, closing prayers, hymns, priestly blessing and a candlelight ceremony,  click here

Each Vigil at 9 p.m., during a solemn interval, the pilgrims kneel and raise their Rosary to Heaven invoking the powerful intercession of Jesus and Mary.

Five priests offered the sacrament of penance for two-and-a-half hours and scores of pilgrims confessed.

"All who are in the pure spirit of the light will have nothing to fear. If you fall victim to satan, you must immediately run to receive a new store of grace from your pastor in confession and the receiving of My Son's Body."

Our Lady, Aug. 13, 1977

Hundreds of heart-felt reparative prayers rising to Heaven.

A miraculous photo taken this evening. Note the statue of the Blessed Mother (distant, center).

Michael Mangan is head of the Lay Order of St. Michael (LOSM). Our Lady has said that from this lay order will emerge the full-fledged religious Order of St. Michael, an order founded on tradition with priests and religious. Our Lady also told Veronica that Mr. Mangan would be the head of this religious order.

One of the reasons we pray on the sacred grounds is for atonement. Our Lady has said on April 14, 1973 that, "Should the prayers of atonement be discontinued on these sacred grounds, the Chastisement in earth time will be hastened."

"I have prayed for the direction of Heaven, and due to the urgency of the coming Warning and Chastisement, I must continue ahead with the Message of Heaven to the world. The vigils cannot be stopped at this Shrine. The prayers of atonement must not be stopped. It is the will of God."

Veronica, November 1, 1973

Gift Shop  Rosaries, medals and other sacramentals are available at our service area, which is directed by Peter Frank, LOSM (c.).

All roses are blessed by Jesus and Mary with the power of cure and conversion. They are passed out near the end of the Vigil (and Holy Hour) to the pilgrims who later press them in a book and laminate them on special cards (printed by SMWA) for distribution to all God's children, especially the ill and suffering. We receive many testimonials of the power of these mystical roses. Here is key task worker, Antonia Rehrl, of Kings Park, N.Y.

"My child, We rejoice because of the great penance that many choose to perform for the salvation of souls."

Our Lady, Dec. 28, 1976

Mary Consoli, a light-lyric soprano, of Yardley, Penn., sang Soul of My Savior, Panis Angelicus and Ave Maria (J. Arcadelt).

"My children, this is a time of great rejoicing in Heaven, for We have much to be thankful for, even in Our great sorrow of the time. Many have joined Us in Heaven to enter into the battle ahead, the battle against the forces of Antichrist."

Our Lady, Sept. 28, 1976

"The miracles in print are given to fortify your strength in spirit and belief. My children, do not credit the adversary, satan, with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The meaning of these pictures will come through in the days ahead.

Our Lady, June 8, 1972

Many prayers of the holy Rosary rise at this "center of atonement" (Our Lady, Sept. 7, 1974).

The good Fathers impart their priestly blessing

All the pilgrims raise candles to herald the 43rd Anniversary of Our Lady of the Roses, Mary Help of Mothers, repeating the words:

Mary, Light of the World, pray for us
Our Lady of the Roses, pray for us
Mary, Help of Mothers, pray for us

Special gift  After the Vigil, pilgrims lined up to venerate the crucifix on the Rosary and the reliquary that contains a piece of the crucifix that Veronica of the Cross would clutch during her ecstasy, both of which were kissed by Our Lady.

Dear Michael and Lay Order
of St. Michael,
It was a great 43rd and well worth the expense of SMWA! I understand that you are carrying a deficit of $5200 from the enormous Anniversary costs. And in addition, you can now include Veronica's 18th Anniversary weekend and its considerable costs. Here's my thoughtful gift (tax-deductible) to help cover the 43rd Anniversary gap and to assist with our beloved seer's 18th Anniversary events. Click here now to donate
