Offering of Sunday Holy Hour
for the election of a good pope
ear Merciful Father of Love, we offer the
Sunday Holy Hour for the intention that Thou will send to Thy people a
good Pope at this crucial time in human history. We pray for a peaceful
and fruitful conclave, through the special assistance of the Holy Ghost,
that will result in a tradition-minded Pope of strong mettle with a deep
love and complete fidelity to Holy Mother Church, even unto martyrdom.
We remember Pope John Paul II, Thy loyal
servant, and his great contribution to Thy Church upon earth and,
particularly, we invoke his help in the election of his successor.
We beseech the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother
of the Church, under the glorious title of Our Lady of the Roses, Mary
Help of Mothers, so named and especially enriched by Thee for these dark
days, to secure for us a holy Vicar of Christ.
And we appeal to our beloved seer and
mentor, Veronica of the Cross, who with her untold suffering and
generous spirit, was a willing and continuous sacrificial offering for
the Pope. She has found favor with Thee, Good Father, and as the first
Bayside devotee knows above all the urgency and gravity of our petition.
May she hear the cries of her soul mates and assist us in our critical
hour.
We
ask all this through Our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Who liveth and
reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, One God, world
without end. Amen. |
